Semester's End

Well...I can't believe I'm saying this but...the school semester is almost over! Can you believe I made it through my first semester of grad school?!? I'm still struggling with Stats but hopefully I will do o.k. on the final and group project. I'm going to pray....ALOT!

I got another "A" on my MOB assignment. I feel like I'm back in grade school. I posted both of the papers on my refrigerator. Lorraine sent me the best email ever today. She said she was so proud of me. I didn't realize how much I needed to hear that from until today. I have found that these days there are a lot of good things that I need to hear. I hope some of them are said to me in 2006.

As I close out my 31st year I have to wonder what the 32nd will bring. I can only hope it will be goodness, life, more strength and courage. As some elements end, new beginnings are made. I hope mine will be good.

Instant Karma

I woke up at 6:11am this morning. It was snowing. So beautiful, peaceful, quiet. By 9am you could hear the shovel outside. Only one person I know who would be out that early pushing the pretty away...the super. Made me laugh. He hates snow. Instant Karma. Only yesterday I was coming in with lots of stuff. Went back to the car briefly to get the rest. There was no need for me to lock the top lock of the door. I was only gone five minutes. Put the key in the door...top lock on. How ridiculous. How rude. Instant Karma. He hates snow. I smile. More snow on the way tomorrow night. Five more inches to be exact. I love it!

Friday night was a pretty good one as well. I volunteered at the holiday party for The Family Center. It's a place for kids with sick parents to just be kids. Some of them don't know their loved one is sick. The party was pretty cool. I was stationed at the "Wall Art Mural". Alot of these kids are so artistic. Being there reminded me to not limit myself creatively. After that party, I went to the company Christmas party. It was o.k. I think I would have had more fun if one of my male co-workers didn't stay attached to my hip the whole night. Oh well. What can you do. Got a great temporary body art tattoo...Prosperity. Part of it is green. It's starting to fade but it's pretty funky. Maybe one day i'll get a real tattoo.

I have my group presentation on Wednesday, two lab sets due..one Tuesday, the other Thursday, a group SPSS lab project due in two weeks and finals in three. Crazy! I have to get at least a C in Stats. I'm going to pray even harder.

Instant Karma. I hope the positive energy I'm putting out will come back to me someday. In the meantime...let it snow..let it snow...let it snow!
