A Really Good Book CAN Make a Difference
Saturday and Sunday turned out to be pretty decent days. Saturday was a Costco run for the usual monthly staples. Of course, while in there I had to swing by to take a look at what books were out. Like I need more books right? I love reading however the past few months have not been ideal to do some leisurely reading with any form of consistency. As a result, the backlog of books I need to get to has multiplied. I'm six books into the delay. So, what's a girl to do? Add more! I ended up buying two more books and actually started one of them Saturday night and am actually hooked to it. The book, which is on the Times best seller list, is called, Eat, Pray, Love. Basically, it is one woman's account of discovering who she really is while traveling for a year to three countries...India, Indonesia, and Italy. It's interesting that I feel connected to many of the concepts the author has revealed quite candidly. I expect to finish the book by week's end. The second book was of course the friend in my head, Suze Orman's latest publishing...Women and Money. Her teachings have opened my financial mind exponentially! Still have to get to Jack Welsh's "Winning". Sunday was a quiet day and the highlight was taking a really long, hot, relaxing bath at my mother's house. I would take a bath every day if I could. I have realized that my thought process is sharper at the oddest times like 3am or while taking a bath. Well...have to get back into workout routine after being sidelined for almost two weeks. More later.
