Ready

My large bag is feeling a little heavy but I hope it is within the regulated allowance for bag check. I'm off in about 15 minutes. By tomorrow at this time I should be sleeping or at least getting ready to...ha ha. I am looking forward to this trip and learning alot about the Korean culture. I am going to enjoy every minute of it and take tons of pictures (when possible). I better sign off since my car will be here shortly. I may be able to post from Seoul but not sure so with that...more when I get back. Here's to a safe and fun experience.

Taking to the Sky

So...here we are. I still can't believe I will be on a plane in less than twelve hours headed to South Korea! I'm so looking forward to this trip. It's been busy the past few days. I've done more cleaning, washing, tailoring, and small item shopping than I have every done in my life! I found a really great gift for Sungrim and her husband but have to carry it by hand on-board. I packed the gifts for the baby in the second suitcase. Like my trip to London, one bag is my stuff, the other items for those on the other end. The great thing about that is I have an empty suitcase to bring back gifts on the leg home. I've been fighting a sore throat the past two days but I will be o.k. for the trip. Have to remember to stay hydrated. I can only hope that I fall asleep for a bit on this long ride ...15 hours to be exact. The great thing is that by the time I get to Seoul, it will be evening time so that increases my odds of getting sleep. I also had a good workout today so that helps. I am also looking forward to starting my travel journal in the morning. It's really fun to look back through these journals/scrapbooks and remember some of the sights and impressions of the destinations. I find it very therapeutic to write. It makes me feel grounded.

Sungrim says the lantern festival was today but that by the time I get there, there will still be plenty of lanterns around. I better try to get some sleep. I think I packed everything I need and took care of rent for next month. Set up my e-cards for June too. It will be interesting to see if my mother will actually come up to check on my space. She rarely comes over to check the mail for me let alone use all those keys to come upstairs. That's the one downside to not having anyone close to trust to do that function. I know one or two of my friends would do it but it would be really inconvenient for them to get here. Oh well...I don't own much and what I do own can be replaced if need be. I'm at least smart enough to have renters insurance. Sometimes I have my moments and can be quite smart (SMILE ANG). o.k. bedtime. Maybe more in the morning.
