Religion and Politics

Not going to make this a long post this morning but will revisit later. Two quick things I did want to comment on though. First, the Catholic Church as settled it's priest sex scandal lawsuit. If I heard the final number correctly, the church will cough up funds to the tune of over 600 million dollars. Outrageous! I am always amazed at how much it costs to get rid of cover ups that eventually got exposed. Secondly, the interest in finally pulling troops out of Iraq is really heating up. To date, our government has spent approximately 450 billion dollars on this war. Again...outrageous! It is amazing that one dumb president who can't admit to his mistake will continue to bankrupt out country and have even more deaths on his watch. In both cases, it goes to show you how not facing up to the truth can hurt everyone on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. O.K. Have the project and some reading to catch up on. More later.
