Merry Christmas in Advance

And a Happy New Year too! Here's to a fantastic 2008!

Costa Rica Awaits

Well, I never had time this week to catch up a bit with posting. It was really busy this week between holiday gatherings, meetings, job interviews, and just everything! Two highlights of the week were going to see the Christmas sites with Jean on Tuesday. We played tourists in our own town. Loved it! And secondly the Dean's Breakfast. It was a good morning. I've been slipping with news coverage for the past few weeks so when I get back i'm going to make it a point to keep current again with the world so that I can comment more on the world rather than focusing on my life. But for now, I can only briefly comment on tomorrow's adventure.

I can't believe I will be on a plane yet again on another big adventure in my life. Costa Rica here I come! This will be my very first trip alone and not knowing anyone or anything about what awaits on the destination side. I have a feeling I am going to have a wonderful time. I had to laugh as packed when I realized that most of the clothing I was focusing on was for the yoga classes. LOL. I am totally open and looking forward to continuing in the process of shedding inhibitions and expanding on having total body, mind, spirit harmony.

This year has truly been amazing to me even though many outside of my skin would say that I must be crazy to be going on yet another trip. I still haven't found a full time job in the field
I know I was meant to be in. I have mere pennies left in savings now, no medical or dental yet...basically I'm "winging it". Despite all that, I feel just fine. I'm not worried. All of this feels right. Anyway, I better get to bed since it will be somewhat of a long day traveling in the morning. It's also Winter Solstice...the longest day of the year. After 1:02 am we'll be gaining time. Even better. I think this will also be another great birthday for me...a good way to close out another year of life as well as start off another year of living. I'm even being good by packing gifts given to me so that I will have something to open on Monday and Tuesday. I'm so bad at waiting to open gifts...I love the element of surprise as to what's inside a package. I'll do my best to remain on my good behavior. Pray for me. LOL. Well...here's to another safe, great adventure Ang!

So

Needless to say it's almost midnight....just got home not too long ago. Met up with Sandra and Lor and then it was dinner. So far, this has been a really good week. I feel really happy. Still playing catch up with these posts. Will revisit this particular post sometime tomorrow afternoon. Dean's Breakfast tomorrow morning so I better get ready for bed so I can be alert.

Quick Note

Literally! Had such a fantastic time yesterday hanging out with Jean. He's so the brother I never had even though we debate alot! We totally did NY tourist venues and it was more fun considering we are New Yorkers. Have to actually run to meet up with Lor but will revisit later tonight if it's not too late. Will have to play catch-up again. Guess that's a good thing since it means i've been busy! LOL. O.K. Better get moving again.

The Art of Conversating

On CBS Sunday Morning, there was a great piece about the dying art of conversation! I literally was complaining to another friend of mine about this very subject. I was saying that people hide behind email and text messaging as opposed to having real conversations face to face or even over the telephone. What can I say except that I'm somewhat of an old fashioned gal who actually listens and reviews body language as well as tone and inflection in one's voice. James Lipton, who was featured in the story, agrees with my same sentiment. Talk is cheap. Conversing is an art. I love watching Sunday morning...so informative and interesting. That's a show that one can converse about...LOL.

Today was one of those lazy days but I did get some stuff done. Of course I am avoiding mopping the floors as I absolutely hate doing this chore! I did dust, hang up photos, and somewhat fix the broken blind that has been down from the window for over a month. I also emailed those who contributed to the Christmas travel project. That was the idea I had to ask people to send me a song they feel personifies me. Ten people out of 20 responded. Not one repeat in song and the genres were far reaching. I will stop at the book store tomorrow to get my journal and start pasting in the lyrics in my new quasi journal/scrapbook. I spend about two hours emailing each person my song selection and reason also. Call it a unique Christmas gift. I can't believe I will be on a plane this Saturday! I can't believe in one week I will be a year older! Happy Birthday in advance to me.

Oh...total sidebar...the other night, I literally was laughing in my sleep. I woke up knowing that I had been laughing out loud. I can never prove it since there was nobody sleeping next to me but I know I was laughing. LOL. The night before I had a dream that I was handing P. Diddy some change as he was driving by in his car. After doing so he made a U-turn and drove off. I have the strangest celebrity dreams. That, paired with meeting several celebrities this year, has made my life somewhat more interesting these days. Maybe it's a precursor to me becoming a well known person. Are my dreams telling me that I too will be wealthy and famous one day? I hope so. Anyway, I better go. Busy week ahead. Will try to get in at least three posts before I go.

Sunday Morning

I'ts so quiet outside. A wet coating of snow has lined just about every surface and a slick coating of ice has blanketed that dusting. It's almost time for CBS Sunday Morning so more later.
