Merry Christmas in Advance
And a Happy New Year too! Here's to a fantastic 2008!
It gets very difficult to rise on certain days but it is a blessing to be able to get up..and fall...and get up again. It's 2011...I'm still rising. What a wonderful gift that has been given to me! Not everyone gets that chance each day. It's been a crazy path for me on the road less traveled. I'd like to think that this journey through life is making me a really good person. With each day, a new thought, new action, newness. And with each beginning...still I rise.
Well, I never had time this week to catch up a bit with posting. It was really busy this week between holiday gatherings, meetings, job interviews, and just everything! Two highlights of the week were going to see the Christmas sites with Jean on Tuesday. We played tourists in our own town. Loved it! And secondly the Dean's Breakfast. It was a good morning. I've been slipping with news coverage for the past few weeks so when I get back i'm going to make it a point to keep current again with the world so that I can comment more on the world rather than focusing on my life. But for now, I can only briefly comment on tomorrow's adventure.
Needless to say it's almost midnight....just got home not too long ago. Met up with Sandra and Lor and then it was dinner. So far, this has been a really good week. I feel really happy. Still playing catch up with these posts. Will revisit this particular post sometime tomorrow afternoon. Dean's Breakfast tomorrow morning so I better get ready for bed so I can be alert.
Literally! Had such a fantastic time yesterday hanging out with Jean. He's so the brother I never had even though we debate alot! We totally did NY tourist venues and it was more fun considering we are New Yorkers. Have to actually run to meet up with Lor but will revisit later tonight if it's not too late. Will have to play catch-up again. Guess that's a good thing since it means i've been busy! LOL. O.K. Better get moving again.
On CBS Sunday Morning, there was a great piece about the dying art of conversation! I literally was complaining to another friend of mine about this very subject. I was saying that people hide behind email and text messaging as opposed to having real conversations face to face or even over the telephone. What can I say except that I'm somewhat of an old fashioned gal who actually listens and reviews body language as well as tone and inflection in one's voice. James Lipton, who was featured in the story, agrees with my same sentiment. Talk is cheap. Conversing is an art. I love watching Sunday morning...so informative and interesting. That's a show that one can converse about...LOL.
