The Seven Wonders of the World
Twenty eight days literally flew by with the blink of an eye! I'm back in Brooklyn. It's hard to believe that last week Friday, I was literally standing in front of the Parthenon looking out over Greece! Even though I've been back for a week, I still can't believe that I was able to witness some of the world's history and become a part of it by stepping aground in places historians have written about. Who would have ever thought I would be traveling to South America, West Africa, and Northern Europe all in the same trip? How blessed am I??? I can honestly say that I would go back and will try to go back to many if not all of the ports of call from this adventure. If I had the financial backing to do so, I would have stayed out there somewhere in the world for another 90 days. I will do it before I die....a world tour. I think for blogs sake, i'll break down the adventure by port since there were 22 of them. I must say that the hardest part of this expedition was coming back. While many would say that being away that long was a vacation, I viewed it from several perspectives. Yes, it was a vacation per se however it was also another attempt to bond with my father. It was also a time for me to reflect even further on what my life is all about and how to overcome the current limitations in it. I also view the time as contributing to part of my purpose in life (or what I perceive as my life's purpose). So while everyone will probably think I was in la la land for a month, I really feel this journey was a continuous, deliberate act towards "Angela's Evolution". Many will never be able to understand but I do. Anyway, I better get my space in order and put away clothes. Also need to get back on the job search and go workout today despite the rain. Must remain focused in spite of all the personal woes this week. Uncle Ernerst passes away four days after we left. While I am sad over his death, I am happy that he is not here suffering anymore in the hospital. More later.
