Democratic Nominee Barack Obama

It's another history making day. Barack Obama becomes the first African American to go into the fall election season officially in his bid for our nations highest office...President of the United States of America. I am elated. At the same time, I am still somewhat sad. We are in the 21st century and we are still using the word "first" before African American for public positions traditionally held by Caucasian Americans. When (not if) Barack gets into office, I am positive the news media will scrutinize every action from the perspective of race rather than strong policy and decision making. I'm trying to keep my eyes open to listen to Biden's speech tonight however I have a headache and am sleepy. I'll try to stay up. This is one of those days where I wish I had cable and the fifty million news channels that are out there. O.K. going to take some aspirin and lay down. More tomorrow.
