Cold and Flu Season

It's been a hot minute since the last post. It was a busy week. The Friendraiser happened on Monday and from the looks of it the night was really successful. It was my very first visit to Christies. All of the beautiful artwork coupled with the great cause made for a wonderful night. Some of my friends showed up in support which made it even more wonderful. The end of the week brought the station anniversary and reunion. The weather certainly wasn't the best. In fact it was raining cats and dogs but I wasn't going to miss the chance to hear Charles Osgood in person. I never knew he was a FC graduate just like me! And, in the audience was Sal Marcianno who is also a fellow alum! The panel discussion was really good and the responses delivered were very insightful. Afterwards was a reception and I got the chance to see some old friends who still work at the station. Darren Devivo says that my name is still mentioned at the station (in a good way) from time to time and that one of my old labeled sound effects CDs is still housed at the station! LOL. It seems like everywhere I go a little piece of me remains. So, started the week mingling with Don and Diedra Imus, Caroline Kennedy, and Hamilton Jordan, and ended the week in the company of Charles Osgood. Not bad. Just goes to show you that you can be a simple, poor Brooklynite like me and still be in good company.

Yesterday was equally fun. I volunteered to help at a children's halloween party. I was stationed at the haunted house. What a good, safe event for parents and children alike. I was feeling a bit under the weather though since I was in all of that rain the night before. I'm fighting whatever is trying to develop in my system. Can't and don't want to be sick. I have a job interview this week. Pray for me. O.K. better go. More tomorrow.
