Gay Marriage in the USA

What an interesting subject to debate. I'm all for the gay population marrying even though many believe that marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman with the sole intent on procreation. Who's to say that procreation has to be biological. In other words, who is to say that the only way one is considered a family is if a woman marries a man and gives birth to biological heir. What if a couple can't have a baby and adopt? Would that structure not be considered a family simply because the wife didn't give birth to the child? So why is it so different for homosexual couples? Every time I hear someone say "God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve" I have to laugh. Since God did indeed create Adam and Eve, why did Adam find a way to blame Eve for his free will decision? He had a choice and instead of manning up, he blamed woman, Eve, instead. If man believes we are so flawed, why is he so against being with his own kind? Very interesting debate indeed.

I'm feeling particularly feisty today. Perhaps because I got a decent amount of sleep last night. Yesterday after work I met up with Jean for dinner at one of my favorite eateries. Afterwards we stopped in Dunkin Donuts for something cold and icy to drink. Got home after 9pm and literally fell asleep around 10:30. That's a first for me. I did however wake up at the early call of 5am. That's been a trend for the last few weeks. Waking up early and falling back asleep. Part of me enjoys this. It's so quiet and peaceful at that time in the morning. My brain feels calm just laying in bed relaxing and thinking. On the other hand, I get slightly irritated that I could in theory be sleeping for another hour or two. LOL. Anyway, woke up feeling more rested than other mornings. I feel like debating everything today...just because. I felt so different this morning that I even wore a dress to work today. O.K. that had a two fold effect; one, I woke up feeling sexy and girly today and two, I was too lazy to iron. Ha ha. As I walked from the station to the building, a drag queen was walking towards me. She was pretty well dressed and I smiled and said good morning upon passing. She said I looked really pretty in my dress. Nice compliment. Thank you. O.k. not much going on here today which is good since it gives me more time to finish up on my volunteer stuff. Right now in addition to my elected Treasurer reporting duties, I am substituting as Development chair and Secretary. Many hats but at least it's only temporary. Shouldn't be so busy in about two weeks. Still slightly stiff from Tuesday's workout. More punishment tonight. Later.

p.s. as one of the seniors was going by he stopped, smiled, and told me I look very pretty today. What a gentleman.
